Historically, North Lawndale was home to the WLS Radio station. WLS call letters stood for the “World’s Largest Store” – that store being SEARS. 

Many years later that Sears store would be converted into a charter High School, serving the North Lawndale community.

These banners were inspired by the North Lawndale Community and it’s rich history.
